Hi there, Nancy Carey Johnson, Singer/Songwriter here to tell you about one of the best things that has happened to me during the whole of this recording project. You see, I'd been having a hell of a time finding a drummer. I had one and he fell through, then after a long and fruitless search I reached out to friends, acquaintances and all sorts of musical types asking for recommendations. Even with that it was near impossible for me to find a drummer to call me back forget agree to record. Enter my friend Lance Middlebrook http://www.nancycareyjohnson.com/node/5. Lance got a hold of me and said, “Hey Nance, are you still looking for a drummer? If so I know an INCREDIBLE one. I played a gig with him at the Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge Ma. backing up Larry Stone. His name is Terry Alaberry, he's Arlo Guthrie's drummer and he's INCREDIBLE!!!”
Well, I was desperate and an INCREDIBLE drummer was just what I needed so I got a hold of Terry, told him of my predicament and he said, “Sure, I'd love to do it. Send me some of your recordings, I'll take a listen and then we can set up a rehearsal date”.
WHAT A BLESSING!!! Turns out that not only is Terry an INCREDIBLE drummer (there's a reason he's been playing with Arlo for the last 40 years!) he's a GREAT guy. Not one of those with such an 'attitude' that you can't even be in the same room with him, RATHER he's just a great guy who wants to do what he loves without the politics of big egos. I could NOT have been more blessed. Thank you Lance for recommending Terry, Thank you Terry for being such a nice guy, talented drummer, easy to work with and huge asset to my project!!! Be well and have a great day,
