Hi, Nancy Carey Johnson singer/songwriter here. It occurs to me that life is full of ups and downs. No news to anybody I realize but while you're in the middle of it, it can wreak havoc with your emotions. Months ago (like 8 of them) I submitted some songs to several MAJOR acts. I could see that there was some interest in them but nothing further happened. That unto itself plays with your emotions.
BUT THEN, 3 weeks ago (or 8 months later) I see that there was some more activity regarding 2 of the tunes I submitted (As You Are a beautiful duet and I Need You With Me with a very different feel of todays 'country' songs). As it turns out the ONLY 2 people I submitted those particular songs to are solid country music "stars" and one is a MEGA star, top of his game! I was SHOCKED when I saw that and my emotions went soaring -the reason for that for those of you who are unfamiliar with the music industry, is that "management" had obviously remembered those songs and was interested in hearing them again- and there those emotions stayed for several days. Well it's been 3 weeks and I've heard nothing so I'm assuming that they've decided to pass - thus plummeting those same emotions that just days ago were soaring. Such is life or such is my life anyway. This is perhaps the best validation I never got. Nancy
