Thank You Pete

Hi there, Nancy Carey Johnson, singer/songwriter here. Speaking of singing, I've sung my whole life. Some of my earliest memories are of singing and of wanting to sing and I remember WAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY back, back to when I was in diapers (but that's another story). Anyway, as I was saying before I rudely interrupted myself, that from way back I've wanted to sing and perform professionally.

Then I became a mother and put it aside while my children were little, but after hearing WAMC's Alan Chartock's WONDERFUL interview with Pete Seeger Entitled "How Can I Keep From Singing?", it came right back to me and I thought "How can I keep from singing?". Funny, but I CAN'T keep from singing. The Music just POURS out of me, it always has. Be it late at night or early (like 4 AM early) the music just comes out of me. It's in my head, it's out of my mouth. I even used to sing my math problems (Jacques Dillard pointed that out to me in the 7th grade).

I owe a debt of gratitude to Pete Seeger, Alan Chartock and WAMC for the reminder - Thanks guys! Nancy
