What a beautiful late summer morning here in Millerton, NY. Blue sky, plenty of sunshine, dry air (for a change) with a really nice breeze. The trees are looking a little tired or perhaps restless is a better word - as though they would really like to molt their green in favor of fiery red, shimmery yellow, dazzling pink and brilliant orange. And while I'm thinking of it, good morning to you all, Nancy Carey Johnson, Singer/Songwriter here. I was just thinking about my song As You Are. It's funny - the word on the street is that people LOVE this song; that it makes them want to fall in love, that they secretly fall in love with both Michael Franklin (my duet partner) and I every time they hear this song - doesn't seem to matter if they're male or female, they all love it! This song has also received some (quiet) attention from some big names in the industry and yet, nothing. I wonder if it's just a song who's time hasn't quite come...?!? What do you think?
