The Irony...

"What irony?" you may well ask. Or perhaps, "Which irony?" and I wouldn't blame you one bit! Hi there, Nancy Carey Johnson, Singer/Songwriter here! In this case, the irony I'm speaking of is the fact that both my opening and closing songs are nearing completion. It wasn't planned that way, it just kinda happened like that - guess that's part of the irony! And make no mistake, there are still things to do, but those two songs anyway are SO MUCH closer, YEA! Hope you're having a great day! Best, Nancy Read more about The Irony... »  Read more about The Irony... »

Struggling comes in a lot of ways; For some it's a struggle to survive - literally. For some it's a struggle to pay their bills or to understand math concepts or why the rules are the way they are. Hey There, Nancy Carey Johnson, Singer/Songwriter here. Thought I'd write and let you know that I went to the 12 Moons Coffee House this last Saturday night. What a great time! I was accompanied by my husband and our eldest son which was really nice. Then too, it was held outside in "La Bonne's Plaza" which is a lovely little, hidden courtyard, made better because the weather was just perfect! Ed Thorney and Jill Gibbons opened and they sounded great!  Read more about 12 Moons 7/5/14 »

Steam Vent Coffee House update

Hey there, Nancy Carey Johnson, Singer/Songwriter here with you on an incredibly steamy July evening. And speaking of "Steamy", I thought I'd give you an update on the Steam Vent Coffee House I played. So for starters, I'd heard for years what a "Wonderful Room" the coffee house was to play due to the acoustics - and boy 'they' weren't kidding, it was terrific. It was also absolutely gorgeous! I was joined by the very talented bass player Diane Davis and we had a lot of fun, but then again, we usually do! Better yet was how well received we were.  Read more about Steam Vent Coffee House update »
